F Company of the 2nd Battalion, photographed in Aldershot in March 1900.  Within weeks the Battalion would be on its way to South Africa to join in the Boer War.

Around 375 out of 890 members of the battalion when it sailed were Reservists, former soldiers who had been recalled to the Army for the war.
